Trevor Noah looked at all the media hype of tonight’s Democratic debate on CNN, as the first face-off between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders — along with a lot of hype about someone who won’t be there, Vice President Joe Biden, as well as the subtle disclaimer that three other candidates actually will be there.

Stephen Colbert lampooned CNN’s imaginative scenarios of Biden showing up at the debate, and realized this is actually a new business model for news: “Describing things more compelling than what you’re watching now.”

Seth Meyers looked at a serious issue: the dominance of political donations by just a few wealthy families.
